1. Extent of the canopies required is shown on the drawings. Included herein, but not limited to, are:

1. Decking
2. Fascia/Gutter
3. Anchors
4. Columns
5. Beams

1.02 MEASUREMENTS:

1. Verify all dimensions shown on drawings by taking field measurements to insure proper fit and attachment of all component parts.

1.03 SUBMITTALS:

1. Provide manufacturer's shop drawings, including fabrication and installation details.

1.04 COORDINATION:

1. Provide necessary anchors, flashing and other items required to be built-in in ample time to avoid delays to the job.

1.05 DELIVERY AND STORAGE:

1. Deliver and store all items in protected areas. Keep free of any damage. Replace any damaged items or parts at no cost to the Owner.

1.06 DESIGN PARAMETERS:

1. Live load of the canopies shall be no less than "__ p.s.f.". Canopies shall comply in all respects with "Southern Building Code Congress International" requirements for Floor, Wall and Roof Systems.

PART 2 - MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS

2.01 ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURER:

1. Subject to compliance with requirements herein, provide product manufactured by Superior Metal Products Company, Inc., Birmingham, Alabama.

2.02 PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS:

1. Decking: Decking panels shall be either roll formed or extruded aluminum. Both are offered in factory applied, baked-on enamel finish. The extruded aluminum deck is offered in both a clear and bronze anodized finish. See (SECTION 3) for a list and description of decks offered by Superior Metal Products Company, Inc.
2. Fascia/Gutter: Full perimeter extruded aluminum fascia/gutter is offered in three sizes. Fascia/gutter comes in either a baked-on enamel or anodized finishes. See (SECTION 3) for a list and description of fascia/gutter offered by Superior Metal Products Company, Inc.
3. Canopy Columns: Extruded aluminum canopy columns come in sizes ranging from 3" x 3" to 6" x 6" and are also offered in a baked-on enamel or anodized finish. See (SECTION 3) for a list and description of columns offered by Superior Metal Products Company, Inc.
4. Canopy Beams: Extruded aluminum C-Beams come in 10" x 3" and 8" x 4" sizes. Extruded aluminum drain beams are offered in 6" x 4" and 6" x 3". Both are offered in baked-on enamel and anodized finishes. See (SECTION 3) for a list and description of all canopy beams offered by Superior Metal Products Company, Inc.

PART 3 - INSTALLATION AND ERECTION

3.01 ERECTION:

1. Drainage: Walkway canopies shall drain internally, from fascia/gutter to columns, and be discharged at or near finished grade level. Cantilevered canopies shall be down spouted from fascia/gutter to columns via a 6" x 3" extruded aluminum drain beams and shall discharge at or near finished grade level. Canopies with projections less than 10'0" shall have a minimum of 1/8" per foot pitch and those with projections 10'0" and greater shall have a minimum pitch of 1/4" per foot.
2. General: Canopies shall be installed according to approved plans and shop drawings and the entire structure shall be erected straight, true and plumb in accordance with standard construction procedures. All joints and connections will be tight and clean and all surfaces of work left in a clean condition.
